ADHD Game

Deze geaccrediteerde serious game is ontwikkeld voor huisartsen. De inhoud van de game is ontwikkeld door Ingrid Rours en Rob Pereira beiden kinderarts in het MC Kinderplein te Rotterdam, in samenwerking met huisarts André de Gruijl.

De ADHDgame is ontwikkeld voor huisartsen om kennis over een ADHDconsult bij kinderen en volwassenen te vergroten.

De huisarts wordt in de praktijk vaak geconfronteerd met vragen rondom gedrag van kinderen en ADHD. Het zijn vaak de ouders en/of leerkrachten die vragen om diagnostiek en behandeling en daarnaast zijn het ook de psychiaters en kinderartsen die verzoeken medicatie te continueren.

Er is veel maatschappelijke aandacht voor ADHD, vooral omdat er zorgen zijn over mogelijke overdiagnostiek en overbehandeling van ADHD. Aan de andere kant kan het ook zijn dat de huisarts ADHD niet (tijdig) herkent. Hierdoor kunnen kinderen onnodig schade oplopen en dat kan hun functioneren negatief beïnvloeden.

In deze game heeft de huisarts een virtuele spreekkamer waar de ouder en kind of volwassen patiënt met klachten op consult komt. Het is aan de speler om via de juiste vragen de anamnese af te nemen en te bepalen wat er aan de hand is met de patiënt. De speler slaat zijn bevindingen over de patiënt op in een virtueel patiëntendossier.

Als de speler het protocol goed doorloopt, zorgvuldig ‘kijkt en luistert’ , komt hij tot de juiste diagnose en kan hij al dan niet behandelen of verwijzen. Scores worden behaald na elke juist beantwoorde vraag. Bij voldoende punten wordt een accreditatiepunt toegekend (cluster ABC 1).

On the other hand, it is also possible that the GP does not recognize ADHD (in time). This can cause unnecessary damage to children, which can negatively affect their functioning.

In this game, the GP has a virtual consultation room where the parent and child or adult patient comes to consult with complaints. It is up to the player to take the anamnesis through the correct questions and determine what is going on with the patient. The player stores his findings about the patient in a virtual patient file.

If the player goes through the protocol well, carefully "watches and listens", he will arrive at the correct diagnosis and can decide whether or not to treat or refer. Scores are scored after each correctly answered question. If there are sufficient points, an accreditation point is awarded (cluster ABC 1).
